the brief
- To both stand out from and compete with our competitors

- Completely redesigned to extend the corporate branding
and achieve effective
search engine indexing
- The redesigned site was aesthetically pleasing, easy to
maintain, has strong
usability and is quick to download
- The site was designed with concise HTML
- New graphics were created to accentuate the existing corporate
branding
- CSS (cascading style sheets) separate content from style
- SSI (server side includes) for ease of maintenance and
quicker download speed
- DHTML was used to create the navigation menus across the
site and rollover
layers on the home page to enable search engine indexing
of this extra content
- Dreamweaver templates were also used to enable site wide
HTML changes to
be achieved quickly
search engine optimisation
- Search engine optimisation was a primary factor
- All aspects of search engine optimisation were implemented
- Search engine friendly design (good body copy / concise
HTML / keyword
specific headings / external style sheets and JavaScript)
- Title and meta tags used effectively
- Site content targeted at search engines
- Keywords researched and targeted
- Site was submitted manually to top search engines
- Significant improvements in search engine traffic
were noted

- Visitor statistics package purchased and analysed regularly
to improve aspects of

- Provided weekly stats on which words users search for
- Could make improvements to site from these

- The template maintained the web site branding
